Nestled on a steep downhill lot in Hideout, Utah’s Soaring Hawk development, this 4,200-square-foot residence redefines mountain modern living. Maximizing allowable square footage and flooded with natural light, the design prioritizes spaciousness in the main living areas. Comprising natural stone, wood, and metal siding with exposed steel beams, the house seamlessly blends traditional roof lines with contemporary design elements. The master bathroom showcases a unique wet room, merging the shower and tub within the same space. Due to the steepness of the lot, extensive boulder retaining walls were required. Interior design challenges included adhering to height restrictions while creating expansive interior spaces. This residence harmonizes design innovation with the natural contours of its mountainous surroundings.
